Need help

Just transfer my Sal to a tank with coconut fibers an only had him for about 5 days was a water dog and has not eaten he's been under for those days and i have tried tapping on the glass to see if comes up but he hasn't should I dig for him or just let be and hope he will come out when he really hungry please help I am worried about him

I'm assuming it's a tiger salamander if it was sold to you as a water dog.. If so, it is perfectly normal for it to be buried for long amounts of time. Most tiger salamanders enjoy burrowing and are usually hidden from sight.
