Question: Need help

What's I'm new at this and have many ? Bought a water dog it has change and now he in a tank with cocoa fiber he has dug himself in but has not eaten since I got him and it's been a week so should I've tried taping on the glass every time about 7.00 pm and nothing I'm starting to get a little worried should dig for him or just wait it out need some good advice

From what I hear metamorphosis is pretty stressful, if he doesn't eat for a little bit I wouldn't be worried, make sure he is moving maybe?

Thanks for the help I dug him up yesterday and he grew and got him to eat 2 wax worms so I'm very happy about it
