new and dont know a thing

i have had my axolotal about 4 weeks ( the first one i had ever seen) he or she is so cute
and his name is flubber, he seems to be coming on great, eating all the time,
but he seems so sad on his own should i try and get him a friend, the only thing is they are very hard to find around here ( cardiff ) is he o.k on his own or is this cruel, i have loads of pets, and always
try to do what is best for them, so please any advice would be nice.
