hello, im very very new to this place, but i was wondering in someone could help me out, I have a juvie lotl and she's been acting really weird when we put her new cooler today. After she was done eating and we put her back in the water, she became the most active i have ever seen her, she swam like a rocket looking like she was trying to get out. she swam up and down until I finally caught her and put her into her little feeding "bowl". Is this normal? We don't have a water testing kit to see the nitrate and stuff yet, but if anyone has any advice I'd be really appreciative

if the tank water was significantly cooler than the water in her tub, then yes that could freak her out. If she's not used to being handled, that could also freak her out. Without more info though, its hard for me to determine what the cause could be. Having a good quality liquid testing kit (like the API freshwater master kit) is absolutely essential. You should be testing her ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, and pH at least twice a week.
