Hey all. Excited to be here.
My name is Roger and I’ve had aquariums most of my life bout when I was young I had a few fire belly newts in a 20g long aquarium. Since then I’ve always wanted to keep newts again, but have never started back up again.
So here I am nearly 2 decades later. I recently dug out my 20g long observation tank from the closet and am in the process of building a 60/40 aquatic/terrestrial paludarium (I think that’s what It’d be called?) to house some newts.
I’m a ways out from actually getting some but I’m excited to learn as much as I can from here and build a cool habitat for some newts. In terms of species…. Not quite sure. That’s another reason why I am here lol. Any insight on a particular species that would enjoy this setup would be awesome!! Thanks all!
Will post some pics once the tank is more than a glass box with a divider.
