Hello. My name is Isaiah Scott and I live in Denver, Colorado. I am a wildlife
enthusiast , primarily I’ve been focused on photographing snakes and lizards but in the last couple of years I’ve become more interested in salamanders. Glad to find a site that is so focused on salamanders and looking forward to contribute. Here's some recent photos from a trip to Arkansas.

Re: New here

The Ouachitas. You're a man after John's own heart! And what an 'intro' post! Welcome to the forum, Isaiah.

You really should enter the calendar competition, those are beautiful pictures.

Hey man, great stuff and welcome! I'm new here also and still trying to figure this site out, but I love it!

Re: New here

Very nice, thank you!
Those are some fine looking amphibians, i agree, the calendar competition needs people like you :)

Re: New here

Welcome to the forum Isaiah. Beautiful photos - thanks for sharing your experiences with us. I've yet to see Rana areolata. I know we're mainly amphibians here but we do like seeing reptile photos too and I'm sure you took a bunch while you were on that same trip :p. Two points on the photos- that second Fource Mtn Salamander is somewhat odd - aside from the profusion of white markings on the back, it doesn't seem to have paired spots. I'm sure greater minds than mine would be curious to see that. The second point, that hybrid Eurycea does really seem to be a hybrid Eurycea. Either that or a young Eurycea longicauda melanopleura. I suspect that if it is a hybrid then it's a very rare sight.

Again, thanks for sharing!

Hey everyone thanks for the nice replies.

John: yeah, that R. areolata was a really good find, I've been looking for him for a couple years. And also, that second fourche was really unique, I'm really glad i found him. While in Arkansas, I didn't find many reptiles but here are a couple:
