Hello! I got a juvenile axolotl about a month ago, and he is looking happy and growing a lot. I just wanted to see if I am feeding him correctly and that I have the correct water qualities.
I feed him 1x a day with half of an earthworm (bought at Walmart) and about an inch of frozen bloodworms. I use tweezers to feed him at the surface of his tank. I've started doing it 2x a day because he looks a little thin to me.
My water levels currently are
Ph: 7.6
Ammonia: .25
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5ppm
I do a 25% water change every week and did one yesterday.
Please let me know if this is ideal for him!
