Hello! I got a juvenile axolotl about a month ago, and he is looking happy and growing a lot. I just wanted to see if I am feeding him correctly and that I have the correct water qualities.

I feed him 1x a day with half of an earthworm (bought at Walmart) and about an inch of frozen bloodworms. I use tweezers to feed him at the surface of his tank. I've started doing it 2x a day because he looks a little thin to me.

My water levels currently are
Ph: 7.6
Ammonia: .25
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5ppm

I do a 25% water change every week and did one yesterday. IMG_1062.jpg

Please let me know if this is ideal for him!

He looks fine but let the food sink to the bottom for him to find the food but if he doesnt eat it then go back to doing it with tweezers

Thanks for the response! I have a small feeding bowl I've been putting his food into but he doesn't seem to be able to find the food in it. He will sit in the bowl but won't eat it from the bottom.
