New tank setup

The shelve on my desk with the aquarium on it broke 2 days ago, luckely is was near it to 'catch' the aquarium, about 25 liters of water dript from my room down stairs.. My white axie was a little bit in shock, but did fine after i put him/her in a bucket. My wildcoloured axie acted like there was nothing happening so he did fine. Í had to empty the whole aquarium to lift it and bring it downstairs. Yesterday i've bought a few real plants and got the big plastic tree out of the aquarium. Also i've bought a aqua medic 150 cooler, pretty expensive but my axies are worth it (+ the temp. got to the 22 degrees most of the time, i know they can have 22 degrees but i just wanted to give them the best). Here are 2 pictures of my new setup just after i put my axies back into the tank.

Tell me if you like it or not!

your lucky here in portugal the cheapest chiller (cooler) that I found was near €700, for a 220 l tank.
I had a similar story, once I was putting my 2 larva axies in another place they were in their 30l tank with shallow water so I could carry it , unfortunately it was a old tank so the plastic border came off and the tank fell on the floor, I cut my wrist and my to axies were on the floor , I didn´t notice that my wrist was cut I just cared for the axies, so I picked them up and put them in a demijohn that I had with water for the tank, They are now in a new tank and didn´t had any problem, I was the only one to get a big scar on my wrist and a hole in my pocket cause had to buy another tank.
Funny story isn´t it

That's terrible about the tanks guys. leslie, check that thermometer you have to make sure it doesn't have any cracks in it. that type is really fragile and breaks so easy it's terrible. I had one and I was taking it out of the tank tog give it a good scrub and and when I was removing it it clinked agains the side of the aquarium ever so lightly that even that little bit caused the whole bottom to shatter. Their's mercury in that type and it's really toxic. Good luck with your tank. It looks great!

Leslie- glad you were able to save the axolotls. Nice chiller, I wish I had one. I really like those "planting rocks".
