Hello!
This is my first axolotl, I’ve had him for two months but recently noticed some additional white on his gills and a mark on top of his head. Is this anything to worry about? Pictures included, thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Congrats on your baby!!

Is your tank fully cycled?
Are you testing it weekly with a liquid test kit?

Your water quality and nitrogen cycle are the BIGGEST factors in your axolotls health then food is the next biggest factor.

Thank you! Tests are normal and spot went away. I just posted because his butt has become swollen. I’m thinking over feeding? But not sure.

Use carnivore pellets if doesn't poo in a day or two I would fridge him from the reading I've done.
