Hey everyone im new to this site and I need some help with some baby newts I found in my back garden. I cant work out what they are because they have red feathery gills:mad:. if anyone knows pls contact me and I need some information on taking smooth newts from my garden into captivity. thanks guys.

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
