New vs old setup for JFBs

These are pics of my tank setup the way it was before and after the big change. Hopefully they will be happier with more water space....even tho the old one was so pretty. I don't think I can do anything about the water depth...maybe silicon a piece of glass on the inside of the front ventilation...

Thanks a lot! Do you think that the change from before to after was for the better? And would it be wise to shut off the ventilation strip in the front so as to be able to put in more water? Thanks for any replies!

Hi Ida, i think your tank looked nice before and after! How deep exactly is the water?

The water is about 4.5 inches. I was thinking that in the future I will move the JFBs to a tank, like a 30G long(where they will get more water, and turn this terrarium into a tiger salamander enclosure. Do you think that will work? Thanks for looking!
