Newbie questions!!!!

Hi guys
We are newbies to Axolotls and I have just tested his water for the first time. Are these readings ok? He is in a brand new tank set up.
Ammonia - 0
Ph - 7.6
Ph high range - 8
Nitrate - 0
Nitrite - 0
I am a bit worried about the flow from the filter, I do have the spray bar facing upwards and towards the side of the tank. But it still seems a bit strong.

Your tank hasn't been cycled. A fully cycled tank would have 0ppm ammonia, 0ppm nitrite and 20-40ppm Nitrates. You really need to cycle the tank before putting the axie in it. If not, you need to be testing the water daily (liquid tests are more accurate than strip tests,) and do daily water changes.
