Hi Everyone, I'm Kate and I live in Greater Manchester in the UK. I work in Animal Care and first came across axolotls when my manager decided to buy some of these cool creatures for our place of work. Recently our female laid some eggs (not very many), of which I took 3 home, all 3 hatched and flourished until almost 5 weeks old when I came home one day and two were dead. The following morning the remaing axie appeard to have a white fluffy patch on her back, I did lots of googling and and decided a water change would help but by night time she was showing signs of distress, after hearing much about the wonders of fridging I decided to fridge her, sadly that decision proved fatal. I was heartbroken.
I have now purchased from a lovely lady a wonderful little 4 month old wildtype who I've named Pixel and has been with us since Saturday evening (it is now monday evening here) and I'm totally in love already!!
