Illness/Sickness: Newt Eye

One of my alpine newt's eyes looks weird. What is the cause of this? His other eye looks normal.View attachment 100044

This can be from a couple of things but is most commonly the result of small debris in the water. If you are using a sponge filter and not cleaning it every week with a large water change, well thars your problem.
