Illness/Sickness: Newt help!

Hi all, I am new on this thread and hoping for some advice.
I have a California newt, I've owned it for about 7 yrs.
He/she (sorry, not quite sure which) has developed a growth/ spot on his upper lip.
I'all try to upload a picture but it would be helpful if anyone could identify what it might be.

Hi, welcome to the site.
I've seen the picture you posted before and I think the best thing to do would be to take him to a vet as lumps and bumps could be a number different things. I can't think of any home remedies to try with that kind of problem, so you really need a vet to make a proper diagnosis and decide on the proper treatment (if needed).

Thank you for your feedback. I will try and track someone down on the island who may be able to assist. I don't think our regular vets here are that specialised.
