I have two fire-bellied newts, one of which appears to be eating its own toes. I've seen this behavior in birds, usually a sign of infection, but don't know how to treat it in newts (new to newts).
He otherwise seems well and is eating. I cleaned his tank don't know what else to do, or look for.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance, C. Isais
