Newt season

when is newts season for cynops orientallis. i had 12 eggs laid all went to fungus but one i found floating in the tank. its definatly an egg, cause i can see the newts body inside. it seems strange that only one is "proper" are ther more to come?

Impossible to predict. The "season" is winter into spring, but some people get eggs almost year round. I would predict that if you keep them well fed, well housed, and cool in winter, they will continue to breed each year for you. I wouldn't even try to predict whether you will find more eggs tomorrow or not until next year. Sometimes the eggs are all fertile, sometimes many are infertile; again, it's totally unpredictable.
