Newt with nose parasite?

Recently bought a newt and later found out it was a Paramesotriton caudopunctatus. When I first got it it appeared to have a bite on its nose but now after a week and a half it has only gotten worse. I looks as it something's causing it to swell. What's wrong, will my newt die, should I separate it from its tank mates? Its cloaca has swollen and brightenned in colour since I got it so it seems to be somewhat healthy.
 
Thanks those pages were helpful I intend to start the dirty treatment tomorrow, but I'm not quite sure exactly how the tank should be set up a picture would be helpful.
