I have my two fire bellied newts and a blue tailed skink both very beautiful in seperate tanks but they always seem to stare at each other, the newts lift up their heads, and my skink opens his mouth. is there something I could do to get them to stop, my tanks are side by side because I have no room anywhere else, I will post a pic of the skink, and my tanks so you guys can see what I'm talking about.
Thx

Just put a sheet of black paper between the tanks so they can't see each other. I can't imagine the newts are staring at the skink, though Newts normally only react to to things they've come to associate with food and will generally ignore other stuff outside the tank.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
