I am setting up some tanks in a basement where there is NO natural light. I will have fluorescent lights on timers. Has anyone successfully bred any caudates in the total absence of natural light?

I have yet to breed anything with natural lighting. All of the reproductions I've had have been with flourescent lighting (or ambient flourescent lighting. No lights directly over the tank).
