Me and the misses went down to a sand quarry near where we live for a walk, she realised this would be a good place for herping. Had a look around and sure enough found some newts.

Any ideas what type they are? I have no experience in newts whatsoever.

I'm not from your neck of the woods. But could be triturus vulgaris or common newt. Keep that girl happy . My wife thinks newts are gross.:rofl:

Guarantied to be a Lissotriton, probably L.vulgaris, but I think there is another species that ranges there as well
