Nitrate spike

Hi there,

I had an unexpected nitrate spike a few weeks ago and lost one of my axies
Now one of my other girls is showing the same signs. I have her tubbed with IAL, is there anything else I can do?
I’m doing 50% water changes daily and I have just added live plants).
I was warned against fridging (I have a temp controlled wine fridge) and my other one was thrashing around in pain. I feel like the fridge would have helped?
I’m so lost, please help.

Are u sure the axie was thrashing in pain because of the spoke? I'm not sure of anything else you can do, just hope for the best!!
