Noisy Filter

Hey all,

I've just bought a new filter - a cascade 600 - I have a spray bar fitted and it turned to low.
The only trouble is its REALLY loud!

Anyone got any tips or tricks for this? I've tried the usual moving it about and pressing bits to see if it gets better but it doesnt seem to help. Is this model known for this or can I help it? I can't seem to find anything on google.

Is this a Penn Plax Cascade filter? If so, my experience with them as a pet store employee was many, many unhappy customers. They tend to be noisy, cheaply made and fail within a year or two.
