I am not sure what's wrong with my axolotl, Toothless... I've tried krill pellets, worms, small strips of beef heart (never fed this before but thought maybe) but nothing... He tries, he snaps but doesn't seem to open his mouth like he used to, meanwhile his female counterpart is growing much faster, and eating very vigorously, right now the tank temperature is averaging 72F which is warmer than the usual 64 but it is summer right now after all.....

He has lost a lot of weight and I'm not sure what I can do, other than keep trying different foods... Maybe some frozen bloodworms will work, as the are much smaller? I'm getting really worried about him....

Water parameters are all fine, and there are some feeder guppies that I breed in there for them, but only the other axolotl shows interest.... Toothless seems plenty active, swimming around and walking around, going up for his occasional gasp of air at the surface and what not, and over the last few days I've seen him lazily floating around near the surface, but when there is movement, quickly shoots back to the bottom....

There are no physical signs of bacteria or infections of any kind, his skin is all normal colored, gills are healthy... Not sure what is wrong here guys, could sure use some insight on this one.

I would definitely try frozen blood worms. They are pretty small so when ur axy gulps it will probably be easier for him to snag a few.
