Hey sorry everyone, I have'nt logged on for sometime. Had a busy summer holiday and when it was time to get back to the computer, it had developed a few problems including my three year old dropping an empty (thank god) mug on my laptop and had damaged a few keys and now the cd-rom not working on it. It got to go back to the shop again as some brainiac did'nt quite fix it properly. So I apologise for any long absences in the next couple of weeks as I am having my laptop fixed! Again!

As for the not so new news, A few more idiots have been arrested and charged for trying to smuggle more of our precious geckos, skinks and other of our native lizards again. You would of thought that after the last guy got busted they would'nt have tried again. Especially so soon after the last one. Needless to say our MAF security people are more vigilant and aren't the only ones upset about this issue on these thieves stealing our native wildlife. Or anyone elses for that matter. These people need to get a life.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
