Has anyone ever had an axolotl that has one eye smaller than the other?
When I bought Frances from her breeder he notified me that both of her eyes were a little below average in size but that he hadn't noticed any adverse side effects and that she was eating fine. Since she was the only luscistic he had available I chose her and looked at her beady little eyes a a cute quirk.
Fast forward a month and now one of her eyes has remained beady while the other appears to be normal sized. The only thing I've noticed behavior wise with her is sometimes when I feed her floating pellets by hand she nips a couple centimeters away from the target, almost as if her depth perception is off because of the wonky eye lol.
Just wondering if this is something I shouldn't worry about or maybe the other eyeball will grow and catch up with the other one once she's mature (she's only about 7 months)
