I think one of my two Iberian ribbed newts is eating all of the food that I put in the tank because she is getting fat and her tank-mate is becoming quite skinny. Should I separate them for feeding, will the problem sort itself out, or is there some other solution.

I feed them on blood worms, earthworms and slugs. The larger is about 5.5 inches long and, after feeding, stands nearly 0.75 inches at highest point on back. The smaller is roughly 5 inches long and stands 0.5 inches high after feeding.

Separate them at feeding or keep them separate at all times. I would fix this ASAP.

Good luck.

Often the females outcompete the males. I would separate for a couple weeks and see what happens.
