This question is directed at people who have kept tigers as well as other terrestrial Ambystoma species:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the general consensus seems to be that, among terrestrial Ambystoma, the tigers have a reputation of being "bolder" and less timid than the other members of the genus. The implication of this seems to be that tigers tend to make "better" (or at least "easier") pets than the other terrestrial mole salamanders. So my question is, based on your observations, which species of terrestrial mole salamander would you say is the next in line in terms of not being terribly timid ("boldness") and possessing other tiger-like qualities (e.g. seeming to recognize their keepers)? Obviously, the answers to this question are going to be highly subjective but I'm interested to hear what people have to say. Thanks.
