Maybe three or four since they are small and make lots of tunnels in the dirt.I have found up to seven Southern Redbacks under small slabs of roc outside so I guess they are happy together communally.
I'd stick with only 2 because of their territorial nature. Three might be doable if you provide them with lots of hides. They are not at all communal. They will tolerate others as long as the food supply is very high.
