Hi All, hoping you can help me.
I wanted to introduce a new P.Walti to a lone larger one so I thought I would keep the new smaller one in an enclosed cage for a few days to make sure the bigger established one didn't just eat it.
He was ok for 2 days and eating his blood worms and then this morning I noticed he seemed stuck to the surface of the water....
I've since released him into the rest of the tank and I can see that if he's not under something or actively swimming down he just goes floats to the surface. He doesn't seem stressed by this and just chills out at the top, but its been all day now and no improvement although the larger one hasn't eaten him also so thats good.

Any suggestions on what I can do to help him back to the bottom and why this might happen in the first place?

Thanks in advance.

It could be bloat , which is a description of the symptoms rather than a diagnosis. Have you any pics ?
