Peninsular Newt Weight

I have a peninsular newt, Ydor, who was a normal weight for years. A few months ago she laid eggs and was understandably gaining weight up to that point. Since then, her weight has not changed. She is still big. Is this normal? I am not sure if she is just eating more than she used to or if it is something else. She had parasites in a bubble around her eye maybe a year ago but we took her to the vet and she was treated. I have not seen anything since. She has been eating and moving around without issue.
