Interesting. What coloration were the parents? Were the parents cb or wild caught?

How old are these animals? They look very healthy. How many do you have?

Mark: the parents look like the animal on the upper photo. They were too big to cb when I got them though I was told they were. I presume they are probably coming from somewhere in south China.
Rachel: they are fresh morphs hatched early in August. At the moment got about 50 morphs. The rest still are larvae. I started to raise about a hundred larvae quite separately 6 per 20l of water with some constant live food so almost no nipping problem has occured. Despite of this I`ve got 20% losses caused by fungus or bacteria.

Very interesting... when I compared the big dark variety and the big "silver" one from T. verrucosus, I noticed that they are, apart from the colour, exactly the same. And now we learn that the two forms can originate from one parent...

I always wondered where the "silver" form would occur, I only could find evidence of brown animals in the whole distribution range. This clarifies some things though!

Hi Wouter i've got metamorphs coming through at the moment from wild caught animals that all look like that first image but i've got 5 silver/blonde/lighter ones and about 50 normal ones Very odd!
