Frank my rehomed boy does Medusa lol,( I think the guy who had him kept him in with loads of fish , so he has gills coming out all over the place .

And this is Frank doing the big Float, hes such a poser.

aww they are both sooo cute! is frank that orange or is it just the camera? would be cool if it was that orange.hehe.

it also demonstrates just how much damage fish could to axies if kept together!!!

Gorgeous pics and im glad you have rehomed Frank from the previous owner (who obviously didnt know anything about axies if he kept them with fish.)

Its just the camera that makes him orange Claire

Hes more a yellowy gold colour.
Will Frank have any problems because of his gills? I hope not. As you can see from the pic , i think hes going to end up with loads. The guy I got him from said he never moved. Poor soul, well hes having a great time now.

great pictures Pamela! Your Axies are so cute! I can't wait to post pics of of mine

I really like the pup treads picture. it reminds me of the Michelin tires with the baby, except it's pup treads with Axolotl lol. So cute! He's advertising!

Moving probably made him "fish bait". I like all the little extra branches he has on his gill stalks. If his filaments grow back nicely he is going to look very cool.

In that first picture Frank is doing the classic "creature from the black lagoon " pose lol

Your baby is so cute.

So sweet

I never realised that their gills could "grow back" differently after being attacked/removed/destroyed o_0

You learn something new every day..

In that second picture, he reminds me of Mr Staypuft from Ghostbusters, getting ready to stomp.

I love his gills how they have grown back they look really cool. I think he is goner be just fine with them. Not saying that you should put axies in a tank with fish so they grow back like that. I love the tire ornament but you may want to be careful that it doesn’t get stuck, but I don’t know the circumstances.

Thanks Nathan, she has never ventured in to the tyre, but i never thought about it , will keep that in mind. I just wish she would grow lol, Im just impatient lol
