how do you get pics smaller.

To resize photos, you need appropriate software on your computer. I use Adobe Photoshop. There are free versions of this kind of program, but I don't know offhand where to get them.

you can use paint, or microsoft picture manager

I have an Apple (Mac) computer and don't have paint.

Preview works fine for me. I haven't tried iPhoto but I'm sure that it would work.
