Plant fertilizers

Hi group,

After a long absense I return to ask the following:

I'm rebuilding the entire layout of one of my amphibian enclosures (with a trio of Bombina orientalis), adding more aquatic plants (Riccia and java moss in the aquatic part; Ficus repens and Sphagnum moss in the terrestrial part) and in order to give the plants some nutrition, I was planning on using either an aquarium plant fertilizer and/or adding CO2 to the water (in the same way as in a fish tank). Are these products harmful to amphibians? I'm expecting that the pH would be a little bit lower but is there any direct toxicity?

Thanks in advance,

Filipe Martinho
