Is it really that often that a tiger will dig up the plant in its tank? I often hear people say you need the plants potted, of course, I would do this but it would take floor space and take away from the natural appearance. Do I need to do this to save my plants or are they safe?

I would recommend pathos. They are sturdy, have long root systems, and provide lots of cover.

I have used green lady ferns. (idk the scientific name) My tiger enjoys getting under the leaves and it is also a pretty sturdy plant. And by my knowledge: There are ferns that are venemous so I would do individual research for every fern you might buy. The green lady fern is safe to use.
