I have a vivarium with lots of light and and ventilation but my bromeliads and tillandsias seem to rot. Does anyone have any tips to keep them from rotting?

Are the plants at a 70 % humidity range and being misted? Often times the mist if done to frequently will rot out the bases of broms and tills. Also is it circulation of the air or outside air being pulled into the tank? Sometimes a fungal spore can cause this too. Good luck!

Tillandsias especially need to dry out. They live on exposed tree branches, and even in many "wet" environments they get soaked and then bake dry in the tropical sun. Many other bromeliads are similar, but differ by having wider leaves and sometimes trapping debris and water in the leaf axils.
