I have just noticed that the tip of one of my axies' gills is red. The one opposite it is also slightly red to but not as much. It is about a millimetre on the tip. I have tested for ammonia and it is reading zero and she is not distressed and is not showing signs of discomfort. But it is quite bright red, like blood. is it possible she was injured as it has come on suddenly? Please help.

It seems to have gone now. It went as quickly as it had come on. Maybe she just damaged it slightly somehow.

what colour/breed is your axie?. if its luecustic its normal for there gills to go bright red that just the blood flow. if its wild type then your probably right, she probably just damaged it a bit.
