I just think he's the cutest little thing.

(The photos aren't chronological but generally, the fluffier his gills are, the more recent the photo is.)

AWWW such a fat and happy Axie <3

Gotta warn you about the spongebob tank ornament though, those are **** quality and the paint will mostly likely bubble or flake in the future. I no longer trust painted ornaments to be honest lD

Edit: ?? I don't know why the forum censored me but I promise you that wasn't a curse word lD

Ooh I found some more!

ALSO: I KNOW his tank is too small right now - I am in the process of buying him a much, much larger one. These cramped living conditions are temporary.

Aww thank you :D

Yeah.... I had been looking at that thing suspiciously lately after reading all the things that could hurt my Poe. It will be removed!

Oh nooooo he's a cutie!

Glad you're getting him some bigger digs, I'm sure he'll love it!

Aww I hope it makes him happier, I want to see him grow as biiig as possible.

He looks so calm. :')

ALSO, if you notice any signs of discomfort in my photos it's just because I've only had him for 12 days so we're still getting to know each other.

He looks like a happy lotl to me! Well fed and nice fluffy gills!

So cute! Such fluffy gills!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
