Question: Pool filter sand.

I bought some pool filter sand as I read it was good for aquatic set-ups.
Would you rinse it first or would you consider it ready tu use?
Please, if you have used such sand before, let me know. Thanks

I have used it. Yes, it should be rinsed well before being put into an aquarium. It may have a small amount of powder in it, but it will not require the lengthy rinsing that is needed for play sand.

I've also used pool filter sand for many years. I bought a 50lb (22kg) bag; it lasted forever! I ended up giving it away to people who bought axolotls because I had so much.
