Possible fungus? please help.

The picture isn't very clear, but if you see retreating fins/crest/gills and eyelids then it's a "morphed" axolotl. Especially the eyelids are a good indication.

I am beginning to believe that he may have morphed.. he does in fact have eyelids.. here is a photo I took just a few moments ago.

I have reduced the water level so that it is only covering his back and I have added in a platform so that he may get out of the water when he is ready.

I'm sorry. Like I said, I'm new to Axies, so don't know much myself.

I really hope he gets better and is ok.

No need to apologize, it turns out I was wrong! I am astonished that he is morphing into a salamander. It was one of the last things I had suspected was going on.. and it would explain his loss of appetite these past two weeks.

So I don't know if I should say congratulations or not. lol

Question though.... I thought if they were going to morph it wouldn't be until they reach adulthood? I thought Logan was only 4 months old or so?

Logan is about 6 months old. From what I've been reading and what I've been told it can happen at just about any age, however the younger the axolotl is the better off they are. Now I could be totally wrong, I am still rather new to all of this myself.

Either way I'm going to love creating a new tank for him and documenting this process.. I have already created a photo album on my profile that shows his morphing.
