So I am inbetween apartments, my lease starts June 1st, and I brought my axolotl, Zero, home with me to my parents. He has a little vacation tank there, which, without my knowledge, my mom filled with guppies while I was away. She moved most of the guppies out of the tank and left 4 in there for Zero's arrival. He ate 3 while he was here. He's developed red toes on his two hind legs and a red patch on the underside of his tail tip and his tail tip now has a little crook in it. Hopefully the 4th guppy just nipped him a couple times (I moved him out), but I'm worried it might be red leg bacteria. How do I treat this? I can't take him to a vet, I'm a college student and I can't afford it. I was going to try melafix, and if that didn't work, when I move to my new apartment I was going to fridge him. The water parameters are all normal but I performed a 20% water change just in case.

He still has a hell of an appetite if that matters and is still active, doesn't seem to be anything wrong with him in that sense.

Ok just added Melafix, if he's not looking better by the time I get to my new apartment, I'm going to fridge him.

These are the red spots, is it red leg? An injury? The crook in his tail seems to have gone away
