Hey im looking to get 2 pygmy marbled newts and have a 11 gallon tank and am wondering what kind of setup i will need like 50/50 land and water or 20 land/80 water. will 11 gallons be enough and should i feed them in the water purely because i can feed them blood worm ( i get bloodworm for my axies  ) and other usuals like brineshrimp. should i only give them worms and crickets as treats and would eco earth be ok? please help as i am getting some for my birthday on april 25.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
