What type of food are you trying to culture? Typically, for example, worms that are home cultured can be considered safer than those purchased from outside sources. In home cultures you have the ability to: control the culture media; control the type of food that is fed to the prospective 'newt food' you are culturing; provide a pesticide free environment, etc.

Thanks for asking your question, but I would ask that for future posts, please adhere to our forum rules in using proper grammar, punctuation, etc. in your posts. Please review this: http://www.caudata.org/forum/announcement.php?f=47

Thanks much.

Is this a culture that you just obtained, or one that you have grown for a while?

:errr::errr::errr: Errr,by culture i ment find.I go to a compost heap with loads of earth worms, sorry about that.Could you still give me advice sorry for that!:blush::blush:

No, I don't think you need to "quarantine" worms that you grow in your compost pile. I would just use them straightaway. If you are worried about what is in their gut contents (like if there is manure used in your compost), then keep them in clean bedding with some clean food for a couple of days.

thank you so much thats a big reilief! :D
