Quartz & obsidian...?

I had an idea for a new display tank for my new axolotls. I was thinking that these golden axos' would look great on black slate.

I also have blue and rose/pink quartz and black obsidian that used to be in a brackish water display tank.

The eel that used to be in there despite winding and rubbing against these rocks never took so much as an abrasion.

Of course axos' are different. What do you guys think? Are those items safe for them?

TIA!

It would depend of the stones. I wouldn't be too worried about the quartz, particularly large crystals, but I'd have some reservations concerning the obsidian.

Considering that some medical surgeons use obsidian blades instead of steel ones, I think I would avoid it. The quartz is fine though, Im sure.

Thanks guys! I really enjoy the way the quartz glows when the lights are on and I've missed that display.
