Red pigmentation in kaiseri

I know pigmentation in kaiseri can be enhanced by feeding them certain things, but searching for kaiseri-pictures it still strikes me that most CB-animals are lacking red, while pictures of newts that do carry lots of red/orange in them are almost every time pictures of wild specimen.

So my question is: are CB-animals always less red than their wild counterparts, despite feeding them lots of daphnia etc?

when they were young they are supposed to be orange right??i have a few young ones that are really orange.

Most of my CB kaiseri had lots of deep orange (red, not so much) that remained into adulthood. As much orange as WC animals in most cases. They were raised primarily on blood worms, chopped earthworms and newt pellets.

They must be getting the red pigmentation from the pellets. Earthworms and Bloodworm is a healthy diet for raising babies, but they do nothing for red colour development.
