Has anyone used them and with any sucess? For those of you not familar with them here is what they look like

I would like to get some opinions on them before I spend $50 on it. I am in college and as much as I would love to, a chiller just is NOT in the budget. I would like to use ice bottles but no one is home enough to change the bottles. Thanks so much!

I bet they work great, but I imagine they work just as well as a normal small house fan from your favorite big box retailer. You'll sacrifice some aesthetics but save around $40. I personally have a set of small personal fans that I use in the summer to bring down temperatures.

Fans will generally bring down the tank temperature by about 4F, but it depends upon your climate.
