Question: Regeneration?

My axie is about 3.5 months old and when I got him from the pet store his right middle feather gill thingy was missing and hasn't started to grow back. Will this effect his longterm health if it never grows back?

they heal pretty slowly so it might still grow back but even if it stays stumpy they should be fine, axolotls can breathe 3 ways (gills, lungs, & through skin)
