Repticon is coming to Timmonium Md. May 15 & 16. Repticon reptile show doesn't usually come this far north. It should be an interesting show with some vendors not usually seen in the area. I'll be vending there. I'll be bringing about 50 axolotls each day and a bunch of other c.b. salamanders. If you want to pick something special up as far as salamanders let me know. shrommj@ptd.net

I ordered a couple odd size tanks from glass cages for pick up at Repticon. I'm getting a 10 gallon tall 16" X 8" X 17" and a 1/2 29 gallon 12.5" X 30" X 6". They will fill a couple empty spots on my racks.

While at Repticon I hope to find out a little more information about International Amphibian Days and The Mid Atlantic Reptile Show in September.

Awesome! Repticon is coming to my neck of the woods on the 22 and 23 of this month (Orlando FL). Already bought my VIP tickets last month. I can only hope they will have a salamander and amphibian section! Fingers crossed, and good luck!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
