Hi, I am in Indiana. I had salamanders as a teenager. Have recently moved back here and am checking out starting a home for axoloties.

Research EVERYTHING. Keep researching for another month or two before you finally bring them home. Ask any questions on this website or on facebook axolotl groups. Be open to advice and take notes. I research for 3 months before I brought home an established tank and axolotls home from a craigslist ad. I haven't stopped researching after that, I continue to learn more about these animals all the time.
